This 64 unit low care facility (hostel) offers accommodation and personal care services to the elderly and disabled. Each resident is offered their own private unit which includes fully equipped disabled access bathroom, space heating, refrigerator, built in wardrobes, bed and bedside cabinet. All units have their own private porch with the greater majority of units leading out to the garden areas . The architecture of the building allows residents to be accommodated in unit clusters of eight, with each cluster having it's own dining room, laundry, disabled bathroom facilities and outdoor recreation area. Whilst this allows for the creation of a comfortable homelike environment in each cluster, the facility also caters for the desire of residents to come together in larger groups for social and recreational activities in its main dining, lounge and recreational rooms. A large number of activities and programs are on offer with residents taking advantage of our extensive large print library, outdoor spa, indoor bowls, kiosk, and buses.
Personal care and hotel services are offered according to the resident’s needs by staff trained in the provision of these services. All prospective residents are required to undergo an assessment by their local Aged Care Assessment Team who will then approve their admission. Also a number of units are available for short-term respite care. |
