Deployment of Autonomous Cleaning Robots

Dear Residents, Families, and Staff,

We are pleased to inform you that Buckland Aged Care will be introducing autonomous cleaning robots to assist with maintaining the cleanliness of our communal areas.

Beginning Monday, 8 September 2025, two robots will be deployed – one operating on the upstairs level and the other on the downstairs level. Their primary role will be to clean communal area floors only. The first week will involve a period of testing and adjustment, during which the robots’ cleaning patterns and docking stations will be closely monitored.

Please be assured that comprehensive risk assessments have been completed regarding the use of these robots in our resident environment. We are confident that the deployment does not present any risks to residents, staff, or visitors.

We believe this initiative will contribute to:

• A consistently high standard of cleanliness in communal areas.
• Greater efficiency in environmental services, allowing staff to dedicate more time to resident-focused activities.
