Influenza A Outbreak Update
Dear Residents, Relatives, and Staff,
We would like to provide you with an update on the current status of the facility and outbreak management as of 28 July 2025.
At present, we have:
· 1 resident in MRW who has tested positive for Influenza A and is currently in isolation and stable.
· 2 additional residents in MRW are experiencing flu-like symptoms, and their PCR test results are pending.
· 2 staff members have flu symptoms with pending PCR result.
· There is no active cases any more in DCW and its been green zone now.
As a result:
· MRW has been classified as an Amber Zone.
· TBW, DCL, and LRW remain Green Zones, with no active cases currently reported in those wings.
· The activities in the TBW, DCL and LRW has been conducted as normal. For residents in MRW, the activities will be separated in MRW wing by DT staff. We will be attending 1:1 activity with residents in isolation. This will be review on daily bases until outbreak will be close.
Infection Control Measures:
· All staff must wear N95 masks and face shields at all times across the facility, regardless of the zone.
· Staff working in MRW must exercise heightened precautions due to its Amber status.
· All staff are required to complete RAT testing every 3 days.
· Visitors are encouraged to wear surgical masks and undertake RAT testing every 3 days.
These measures are critical to help minimise the risk of further transmission within the facility, especially given the circulation of multiple respiratory viruses in the broader community.
We also remind everyone to:
· Use the hand hygiene stations available throughout the facility.
· Maintain social distancing wherever possible.
We appreciate your ongoing support and cooperation.
