Influenza Update

Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

Please be advised that there has been an increase in cases of influenza. Buckland now has positive cases of Para Influenza as well as Rhinovirus’s (Common Cold) in our Matron Rothery Wing and Lis Roberts Wing. The infected residents are clinically stable.

We ask that if any visitors are feeling unwell that they wait until they are feeling better before visiting. To ensure we mitigate the risk of further spread all visitors and staff will now be required to wear N95 facemasks and also shields. All visitors must continue to enter the facility via the main entry at reception and continue to complete a Rapid Antigen Test so we can keep our loved ones safe from Covid also.
