Outbreak Update
Dear Residents, Relatives, Staff, and Stakeholders,
We would like to provide an update regarding a COVID-19 outbreak at Buckland as of 21 October 2025.
At present, two residents in the DCL wing have tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently in isolation. We are pleased to confirm that both residents remain clinically stable and are receiving appropriate care and monitoring.
Current Zoning
Based on the current situation, the following zones have been established in accordance with infection prevention and control protocols:
- Red Zone: DCL rooms 25–40, and areas 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A
- Green Zone: DCL rooms 1–24, and areas 1A and 2A, MRW, LRW, and TBW
Activities for the DCL wing will remain separate, while activities in other wings will continue as normal. Meal service will also continue as usual.
Infection Control Measures
To minimise the risk of transmission and ensure everyone’s safety, we kindly remind all visitors, residents, and staff to adhere to the following measures:
For Visitors and Residents:
- Please wear a surgical mask and complete a RAT test upon arrival.
- N95 masks are available at Reception upon request.
For Staff:
- Continue to wear an N95 mask and face shield while on-site.
- Complete a RAT test on arrival before commencing duties.
These measures are vital to reducing transmission risk, especially given the ongoing presence of respiratory viruses within the wider community.
General Precautions
We also remind everyone to:
- Practice hand hygiene using stations located throughout the facility.
- Maintain social distancing where possible.
We sincerely appreciate your continued understanding, cooperation, and support as we manage this situation with the health and wellbeing of our residents as our highest priority.
