Residents and Families,

We are writing to inform you of a technical issue currently affecting the call bell system in one of our units at Buckland Aged Care Facility, and to express our sincere apologies for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused.

On Friday, 30 June 2025, contractors were on-site to upgrade the CCTV infrastructure across the facility. Since that time, we have experienced intermittent issues with the call bell system in the affected unit. While the exact cause is yet to be confirmed, the issue appears to be linked to internet connectivity disruptions.

Please be assured that resident safety and wellbeing remain our highest priority. As a precautionary measure and to ensure continuous care and monitoring during this time, we have increased the number of staff on duty in the affected unit to maintain close supervision and prompt response to resident needs.

We are actively working with our internet service provider and the CCTV installation team, who are scheduled to meet on-site to investigate and resolve the issue as a matter of urgency.

We understand the vital importance of reliable communication systems in our care environment and sincerely regret any distress this situation may have caused to our residents or their families. We remain committed to transparent communication and will keep you informed of progress as we work toward full resolution.
