Update on Respiratory Illnesses
Dear Residents, Families, Staff, and Stakeholders,
Following a careful review of the current respiratory illness status within our facility over the past several days, we are pleased to advise that there have been no residents displaying flu-like or respiratory symptoms. Based on this assessment, the requirement to routinely wear surgical masks within the facility will no longer be require at this time.
While this is a positive update, we kindly ask everyone to continue supporting a safe and healthy environment. Visitors are strongly encouraged to postpone their visit if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms and to undertake PCR testing as appropriate. If you do need to visit while experiencing mild respiratory symptoms, we encourage the use of a surgical mask to help protect our residents and staff.
Staff members are reminded that if they experience any flu-like symptoms, they must not attend work and should arrange a PCR swab test in line with infection prevention and control.
We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will promptly communicate any changes should the risk level increase.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us on (02) 4752 2500.
Kind Regards,
Kind Regards
Buckland Management Team
