Update to Influenza Outbreak

***FACILITY INFLUENZA OUTBREAK UPDATE***

Dear all,

As of today 27/11/2025, we have 4 x residents who remain positive to influenza A.

Additionally, we have 2x staff members who tested positive of Influenza A and a further 2x staff member awaiting PCR results.

Meal services will continue as normal. Affected residents are encouraged to have meals in the room, however, can continue to have meals in the dining area if they wish to, provided that social distance is maintained.

All staff are required to wear N95 mask as well as a face shield/goggles whilst in the facility. Due to TBW and LRW C section being classified as a High-Risk Area, staff are required to wear a full set of PPE when entering every resident’s room. We encourage visitors to also wear N95 masks and face shieled/goggles when in the facility, where supply is available at main entrances. 

We wish to remind all staff to remain in their designated section and avoid crossing-over to other section where possible

Activities will be conducted separately in each section however, DCL and LRW studios residents may continue to attend activities together and encouraged to observe social distancing and mask wearing if they are able.

We would like to remind everyone to observe proper infection control procedure and hand hygiene. Please utilise alcohol-based sanitisers available throughout the facility.

We kindly ask everyone to remain vigilant for any staff / resident / visitor presenting flu or respiratory symptoms and report to RN / management team for proper advice. We ask that Staff and Visitors  do not enter the facility if you are feeling unwell or have any flu like symptoms.
