Buckland QR code
14th October 2021
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
This week we are all so pleased to see visitors and familiar faces returning to the facility and we hope you are all enjoying seeing your loved ones. Referring to our last letter, as of the 11th of October all stay at home orders across NSW are lifted and greater Sydney stay at home orders are re-lifted.
We have received a lot of questions in relation to our QR code located at the main entrance, it is not an NSW service QR code. It is a QR code that has been generated by Buckland, having our own QR code enables us to contact visitors in a timely manner in the event of an outbreak or exposure. In addition to this, the NSW service QR code also does not have an option for a temperature check and the temperature check machine at the main entrance is an essential part of the health screening when entering a Residential Aged Care Facility. Please also ensure to use your camera app on your mobile phone and not the NSW service app when scanning the QR code upon entry.
As you may be aware when NSW gets to 80% double vaccination, restrictions will be further eased. What this means for the residents of Buckland is that residents can leave the facility for any reason without having to be in isolation upon return. In saying this, a risk assessment will still be conducted upon leaving the facility. However, despite the outcome of the risk assessment, isolation will not be required.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact myself on (02) 4752 2500.
Please stay safe and well.
