Dear Family & Friends of Buckland,

I am pleased to advise that the numbers of COVID positive Residents continues to decrease. Since the beginning of the outbreak, we registered a total of 52 COVID-19 cases. As of today, we have 16 active cases remaining.

The visitor restrictions will cease starting tomorrow morning; however we urge all visitors to consider the necessity of their visit in the context that the outbreak has not been fully resolved yet. If you are unwell or experience any flu like symptoms, please do not visit. Please note that you will need to complete a Rapid Antigen Test prior to entering the facility and wear full protective equipment. We encourage you to meet Residents on the rooftop rather than entering the facility where possible.

Residents have been urged not to leave their rooms; however we will not enforce this as a requirement as we recognise the emotional and psychosocial impact this can have on our Residents wellbeing.

It is important to note that the vast majority of Residents display no symptoms and all Residents are clinically stable.

Thank you for your continuous commitment to our residents' well-being and for upholding the uncompromising standard of care that we hold ourselves to.

We will continue to provide daily updates on the current situation and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on (02) 4752 2500.

Warm Regards,

Johannes Brockhaus
Chief Executive Officer
