COVID Outbreak & Cancellation of DCW Reopening

Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

I regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, we are forced to cancel the DCW opening event scheduled for tomorrow on short notice. I was informed earlier today that three employees and two residents have tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the declaration of an outbreak within our facility.

We are currently collaborating closely with the Department of Health and Aged Care to address the situation promptly.

After careful consideration, Buckland is not prepared to put the health and safety of our residents, employees and guests at risk. Our top priority is to ensure the well-being of everyone involved. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and deeply regret having to deliver this news.

We will keep you informed of any updates regarding a potential new date once we have further clarity on the situation.
