COVID-19 Outbreak: Update
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
Over the past week we conducted more than 1700 COVID-19 tests and we are pleased to advise that the daily testing is now concluded. All results to date have been negative.
As per the direction issued by the Public Health Unit, we have now entered our 72-hour testing phase. Tests were conducted earlier today, and another set of tests will be carried out on Monday 27th. If all results come back negative, we are in a position to lift the isolation for all residents on Tuesday 28th September, however residents will be required to stay within their wing. Additionally, we look forward to recommencing approved compassionate visits.
Please note that once the outbreak is declared over, stay at home orders still apply to all of Greater Sydney and so all facilities in the Greater Sydney area are still subject to these restrictions. Visitors are not permitted to any facility in the Greater Sydney area unless with prior authorisation for compassionate reasons.
If you have any questions and or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 4752 2500.
