Covid-19 Outbreak Update
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
We wish to inform you that currently, there are four residents in our facility who have tested positive for COVID-19. All four residents are in good spirits, the first case showed flu-like symptoms, however the other three residents are asymptomatic. These residents have been isolated and are receiving antiviral medication. The cases are limited to the DCW/LRW areas.
We have decided to suspend all activities for the next 24 hours as a precautionary measure to prevent any potential spread from yet unidentified sources.
It is now mandatory for all staff, visitors, and contractors to perform a rapid antigen test every day before entering the premises and to wear an N95 mask while inside. Please be aware that the DCW entrance is closed until further notice. All visitors should use the main entrance of the nursing home.
We advise all residents to wear masks inside the facility for added safety, although it is not compulsory. We recommend to utilise the good weather and ideally conduct any outings and meetings in the outside areas. Rest assured, we will keep you updated on a daily basis.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us on (02) 4752 2500.
Warmest Regards,
Johannes Brockhaus
Chief Executive Officer
