Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

We have just been advised this afternoon by the Public Health Unit that as of midnight tonight, the COVID-19 outbreak at Buckland Aged Care will be deemed closed.

With this great news, compassionate visits that were originally arranged prior to the lockdown can continue as of tomorrow Thursday the 30th of September. This will also mean that all residents will be removed from isolation as of midnight tonight and all activities will resume to the arrangements made pre-outbreak. We understand how challenging these past couple weeks have been for everyone. We are all excited to welcome you back through our doors and the opportunity to see your loved ones again.

Furthermore, the general running of the facility will remain and the infection control procedures will still be in place to ensure we maintain the health and safety standards. Surgical masks, hand hygiene and temperature checks will still be a condition of entry. As a reminder, please continue signing into the facility upon your entry.

As you know, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or Virginia Mitchell, our Facility Manager on (02) 4752 2500.

Please stay safe and well.

Warm Regards,
