COVID-19 Outbreak: Update
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
We hope you have enjoyed your time over the Christmas period despite the challenges presented to us this year. Unfortunately, there is a major delay in the COVID-19 swab results for both the residents and staff due to the increased number of tests conducted across New South Wales.
Although this is the case, all the results we have received so far are negative. The last day of COVID-19 testing was Boxing Day, however we cannot further ease the restrictions until we have received all of the results from Boxing Day.
Additionally, all our residents that attended a family gathering on Christmas day were rapid tested upon returning to the Facility and all received a negative result. This is wonderful news and we are hopeful that we will continue to see these results.
We will continue with a vigorous testing regime for all residents that choose to leave the facility during the Christmas break. We greatly appreciate your patience and support during these challenging times. We will be sure to keep you and your loved ones updated on any changes that occur.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact myself, or Virginia Mitchell our Facility Manager via the Nursing Home reception on (02) 4752 2500.
