Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I am very glad to inform you that the resident who tested positive for COVID-19 on the 7th January, was medically cleared this morning. This is wonderful and very hopeful news!

Therefore, we now only have 1 active case within the facility who tested positive on the 12th January. Rest assured that the resident remains in a stable position and has continued to be closely monitored at all times.

As today was also the 6th day since we received the most recent positive COVID-19 result of the above resident, surveillance testing was conducted on each resident to ensure they are all free from the virus. We are very happy to announce that we have had no further residents test positive.

We couldn’t be more grateful to our wonderful staff who have made this possible through their dedication and outstanding hard work to keep all of your loved ones safe and healthy.

The next routine surveillance testing will be conducted on day 12, the 23rd January 2022. We have faith that the results will continue to remain negative to allow us to exit the hard lockdown.

As you know, we have a meeting with the Public Health Unit later this afternoon and if anything changes, we will ensure to inform you all.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the Nursing Home reception on (02) 4752 2500.

Kindest Regards,

Virginia Mitchell
Facility Manager
