Dear Family and Friends of Buckland,

Unfortunately, we have had 2 residents that have tested positive to COVID-19. One the residents being in Matron Rothery Wing and the other in the Thomas Buckland Wing. Positively, both residents are doing well and are triple vaccinated. Additionally, Residents in the MRW and TBW who are not covid positive are allowed to leave their rooms, staff will ensure social distancing is adhered to. However, covid positive residents are to remain in isolation. The TBW and MRW wings are only allowed 1 visitor per day. The rest of the facility will continue as 2 visitors per day.

If you wish to visit someone in the TBW or MRW wing, please ensure to call us so we are able advise where your entry point is. If you are visiting an infected wing, you are required to wear a complete set of personal protective equipment. An N95 mask and a face shield must be worn throughout the facility and all visitors are required to bring their own RAT test, which would need to be done at the front of the Buckland Nursing Home.

Thank you again for your continued understanding and patience. We know how difficult and tiresome this is for all of you, we look forward to further progression and positive outcomes.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via the Nursing home on (02) 4752 500.

Kind Regards,

Virginia Mitchell

Facility Manager
