Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
Yesterday, we conducted PCR testing on all residents in TBW and the results received today revealed that one additional resident tested positive to COVID-19. This brings the total infections to four and we are still awaiting several results from yesterday’s testing.
We are working closely with the Public Health Unit and have been advised that the rules for both residents and visitors will remain unchanged from yesterday.
Residents in MRW, LRW and DCW are free to leave their rooms and utilise the common areas, however we strongly encourage residents to practice social distancing.
TBW remains in lockdown, however COVID-19 negative Residents are able to leave their rooms and staff will ensure social distancing is adhered to. If you wish to visit someone in TBW please call us and we will make safe arrangements for you to do so. Entry to the facility for visitations in TBW will be facilitated through a side entry and visitors will be required to wear a full set of personal protective equipment including impervious gowns.
Spot checks are also conducted regularly to ensure that Infection Control Procedures are adhered to. All residents will be closely monitored by our staff on duty for any signs or symptoms they may develop. Residents are encouraged to wear a mask and to practise social distancing
Thank you all again for your continued understanding and patience. We know how difficult and tiresome this is for all of you, and we too look forward to further progression and positive outcomes.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via the Nursing Home reception on (02) 4752 2500. Please stay safe.
