Dear Residents, Relatives, Employees and Friends of Buckland,

Unfortunately, one of our care staff members attending morning shift in Matron Rothery Wing today tested positive of COVID-19. We also have 1 resident in Liz Roberts Wing currently in isolation after visiting a loved one who turned out to be positive of COVID afterwards.

A risk assessment has been completed and identified both Liz Roberts Wing and Matron Rothery Wing to be High Risk areas.

Due to the above circumstances, we have initiated a RAT testing for all residents in the facility due to residents from different sections joined together during group activities.

All staff and visitors entering the facility must wear surgical masks and is encouraged to utilise the hand sanitizers throughout the facility. Daily RAT testing will be implemented for all staff prior to commencing their shifts.

We are encouraging residents to please maintain social distancing and utilise the outdoor areas where possible. Activities and exercises for residents in the Matron Rothery Wing and Liz Roberts Wing will all be completed on the wing only.

As always, we ask that any staff or visitors that are feeling unwell or have any cold or flu symptoms please do not enter the facility until they are feeling better. Any staff that develop symptoms must complete a PCR Test.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us on (02) 4752 2500.

Warmest Regards,

Pearson Kasawaya

General Manager
