Covid-19 Update

Dear Residents, Relatives, Employees and Friends of Buckland,

We would like to provide you with an update with our most recent covid exposure within the facility. One resident within the Liz Roberts Wing remains positive for covid19 who is currently stable with ongoing monitoring.

A round of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) were completed in Liz Roberts Wing on the 31st October with all negative results, further testing to continue 2nd daily until early next week. Precautionary RATs for Thomas Buckland Wing, Matron Rothery Wing and Donald Coburn Wing have also been attended today with all negative results.

As a precaution all staff and visitors are required to wear a surgical mask whilst in the facility, additionally staff in LRW are to wear N95 mask and face shields/goggles to further mitigate the risk of transmission. Daily RATs for all STAFF only.

To minimise the risk of spread we strongly encourage staff and visitors to regularly wash their hands and make use of the hand sanitizers that we have around the facility.

Should you develop any cold or flu-like symptoms please do not enter the facility.
