Dear Residents, Relatives and Staff,

As part of our ongoing efforts to monitor the health and well-being of all our residents and staff, we have confirmed that one of our residents who resides in DCW (Donald Coburn Wing) has tested positive for COVID-19. The resident is currently stable and is being closely monitored.

We want to reassure you that we are taking all necessary precautions to contain any potential spread of the virus.

Our team is following the guidelines and protocols provided by NSW health, including enhanced cleaning procedures, and additional testing of both residents and staff to ensure the safety of everyone within the facility.

Routine 2nd daily testing for all DCW residents will continue from today, activities will be cohorted in the wing, dining service will remain the same at this stage.

All staff working in DCW are requested to attend a Rapid Antigen Test daily until further notice. N95 mask will also need to be worn by Staff, we also ask that our visitors wear a N95 whilst in the facility to assist in minimising the spread. It is up to the discretion of our residents whether they would like to wear a mask in common areas.

To our Staff, please continue to follow all safety protocols, including proper PPE use, social distancing where applicable, and regular hand hygiene. Your vigilance is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of our residents and fellow team members during this time.

To our Resident, we are doing everything we can to maintain a safe and supportive environment. We understand that this news may be concerning, but we are here to provide the necessary care and ensure that all safety measures are in place. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to a staff member.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, if you have any questions, please contact the facility on 4752 2500.

Warm Regards

Buckland Clinical Management team
