Covid-19 Update
Dear Residents, Relatives and Staff,
We would like to inform you that a round of Rapid Antigen Testing was conducted in the Donald Coburn Wing today and we are happy to announce that all residents tested negative for Covid-19. The resident in Donald Coburn that tested positive back on the 6th April 2025 remains in isolation and is asymptomatic and is recovering well.
Although all results were negative, as an additional precaution, we decided to conduct separate in-house activities and group exercises in the Donald Coburn Wing. We also encourage all residents to maintain social distancing if possible and utilise the outdoor spaces if weather permits.
All staff and visitors entering DCW are required to wear a N95 mask whilst within that wing and second daily Rapid Antigen Testing will continue for all staff in the facility. All staff and visitors in other areas of the facility are required to wear a surgical mask and a full set of PPE including face shield is to be worn when entering the rooms of any residents currently in isolation.
We wish to remind everyone to remain vigilant of any resident/staff member/visitors feeling unwell or displaying flu symptoms and report to RN immediately. Isolation must be commenced for any resident with flu-like symptoms, with RAT test and PCR for all pathogens attended.
Staff and visitors that are symptomatic are advised not to enter the facility and attend to PCR testing for all respiratory pathogens.
Please contact the facility on (02) 4752 2500 if you require further clarification regarding the above. Thank you.
Warm Regards
Buckland Clinical Management team
