Covid-19 Update
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
We currently have 11 Covid-19 Positive Residents remaining. I am pleased to advise that we have been able to reduce the outbreak to one last wing. All wings, except for MRW, are now COVID-19 free. Most Residents continues to be asymptomatic. Given the large quantity of previously infected residents and the fact that most Residents are asymptomatic, we have requested the Public Health Unit to consider genome sequencing to determine this unusual variant.
The surge workforce will continue to be onsite until at least the 19 September and Aspen medical continue to provide support and guidance. Additionally, our overseas workforce has arrived and will commence their first shift on Monday 18 September
We ask that if any visitors are feeling unwell that they wait until they are feeling better before visiting. To ensure we mitigate the risk of further spread can we please ask all visitors and staff to continue to wear N95 facemasks and also shields. All visitors must continue to enter the facility via the main entry at reception and continue to complete a Rapid Antigen Test so we can keep our loved ones safe. Please remain vigilant and also social distance.
Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the Nursing Home reception on (02) 4752 2500 if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe and well.
Warmest Regards
Johannes Brockhaus
Chief Executive Officer
