Dear Families, Relatives, Staff and Stakeholders,

We would like to provide you with a facility update as of 25 September 2025.

DCW Wing:

  • Two residents became symptomatic on 23/09/2025 and have since tested positive for COVID-19. Both are currently on antiviral treatment.
  • Following this, a round of RAT was completed on 24/09/2025. Three additional residents tested positive and have been placed in isolation. Confirmatory PCR tests were sent on the morning of 25/09/2025. All three residents are currently stable and receiving antiviral treatment.

As a result, DCW is now classified as a RED ZONE. A further round of RAT testing is scheduled for 26/09/2025.

LRW Wing:

  • Four residents had previously tested positive for COVID-19. All were stable and receiving antiviral treatment. As of today, one of the four residents has fully recovered. The remaining three residents continue to receive treatment and are stable.
  • One resident had previously tested positive for both Rhinovirus and Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV).

LRW remains classified as a RED ZONE. A round of RAT testing was completed today (25/09/2025) with no new cases identified.

TBW and MRW Wing remains GREEN ZONE.

Infection Control Measures:

  • HEPA filters are in use, and ventilation is actively encouraged throughout the facility.
  • Enhanced two-step cleaning continues across all areas.
  • Staff are cohorted to specific wings, and activities are isolated to affected areas.
  • Residents are encouraged to wear masks if they wish to participate in activities.
  • Tray meal service is recommended, although dining rooms remain open.
  • Outdoor spaces are encouraged for resident use.
  • All staff are required to wear N95 masks and face shields or goggles while in the facility.
  • Daily RAT testing is mandatory for all staff prior to entry.
  • Visitors are encouraged to wear surgical masks/N95 while in the facility.
  • All visitors are also encouraged to undergo a RAT upon entry.
