Daily Outbreak Update

Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

We are very pleased to inform you all that 1 of our 3 residents who are actively infections with COVID-19 has been medically cleared and has fully recovered from the virus. This is wonderful news and we are very happy to have received this positive outcome!

We have fortunately had no further cases of COVID-19 within the facility. Therefore, the other 2 residents who are still infectious with the virus remain in a stable position and are both displaying minimal symptoms.

Although this is the case, we would like to remind those of you who are visiting under compassionate and essential carer circumstances, to please ensure you remain inside of the resident’s room throughout your visit. This is because we are still classed as an outbreak by the Public Health Unit and by you entering the facility, you are exposing yourself to COVID-19.

Hence, entering common areas is prohibited to minimise the risk of potentially spreading the virus around the Nursing Home and to keep both yourself, our staff and especially our residents safe.

I thank you all for your ongoing patience and cooperation. I understand the frustration you must all be feeling throughout this difficult time but we greatly appreciate all the support that you give us as we endeavour to keep your loved ones healthy.

We continue to remain in contact with the Public Health officials and have a meeting with them on Monday for further advice and guidance. We will update you on any new developments and changes along the way.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the Nursing Home reception on (02) 4752 2500.

Kindest Regards,

Virginia Mitchell
Facility Manager
