Exiting the COVID-19 Outbreak
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
I am very glad to announce that the COVID-19 outbreak within the facility has been lifted by the Public Health Unit as of this morning.
This is wonderful news as all of the residents that were infected, are now medically cleared. We are very relieved and blessed to of had the positive outcome that we did.
Although this is the case, all staff within the facility will continue to wear a N95 mask and face shield when attending to the residents’ care to ensure the upmost health and safety of each individual within the Nursing Home. All staff are also required to remain performing a rapid antigen test before entering the facility.
Residents are now able to leave the facility and they will be undergoing rapid testing post outing and when symptomatic.
Visitors can also enter the Nursing Home with a limit of 1 visitor per resident per day. With this being said, in order to ensure the facility remains free from COVID-19, there will also be conditions of entry for each visitor.
These include a Rapid Antigen Test that must be completed on site upon your arrival at the facility and supplied by you. Additionally, a N95 mask and face shield must be worn correctly and at all times upon your visitation.
These measures have been put in place to continue to protect your loved ones and to minimise the possibility of another outbreak. I want to thank you all for your understanding, patience and support throughout the past month. We greatly appreciate it.
As you know, please contact us via the Nursing Home reception if you have any questions or concerns on (02) 4752 2500.
