Extension of the lockdown period
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
As you are aware, this morning the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, had announced the extension of the lockdown in Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains and other part of the state, until midnight Friday the 16th July 2021.
Due to these restrictions and the severity of the Delta Strain, Buckland will also remain in lockdown until this date. This decision has been made with the best interest of our residents in mind.
We want to remind you all that we will continue to proceed with the window visits, Skype calls, Zoom meetings, WhatsApp and all other message medias that will allow you to remain in contact with your loved ones. Additionally, we assure you that all inhouse activities and daily routines will continue as usual with the correct Infection Control Procedures in place.
We understand that this is a very difficult and frustrating time, so we thank you for your cooperation and understanding as you support us in our duty of care towards our residents, ensuring they remain safe and well.
Furthermore, Buckland will be utilising a QR code for signing into the Nursing Home. The QR Code will commence immediately and will be outside the doors of the entry ways into the facility. It is to be used by all visitors, volunteers and contractors when entering the Nursing Home. If you are unable to sign in via the QR Code, or if you do not have a mobile phone, the manual signing in book will remain at the entry for those who need it.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the coronavirus, please don’t hesitate to contact Lisa Murray, our COVID-19 Marshall and Infection Control Lead on 0402 677 443 or you can contact myself via the Nursing Home on 4752 2500.
