Outbreak Update
Dear Residents, Relatives, Employees and Friends of Buckland,
We would like to inform you that we currently have three residents in the Donald Coburn Wing that have tested positive to Parainfluenza, all of these residents are doing well and are being taken care of by our amazing nurses.
We also have a further three residents throughout the facility with flu-like symptoms and are awaiting PCR results. We have these residents in isolation to minimise the risk of spread.
As a precaution all staff and visitors are required to wear a surgical mask whilst in the facility at all times. Management will continue with our outbreak management plan in the meantime.
To minimise the risk of spread we strongly encourage staff and visitors to regularly wash their hands and make use of the hand sanitizers that we have around the facility. Should you have any cold or flu symptoms please do not enter the facility. Staff with symptoms must complete a Rapid Antigen Test as well as a PCR Test and receive a negative result before returning to work.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us on (02) 4752 2500.
Warmest Regards,
Pearson Kasawaya
General Manager
