Outbreak Update

Dear Residents, Relatives, Friends and Staff

We would like to provide you with an update on the current status of the facility and outbreak management as of 16th September 2025.

At present, we have:

• 2 residents in isolation in DCW who have tested positive for Human Metapneumovirus  (HMPV).
• 1 resident in LRW who has tested positive for COVID-19.
• 4 residents presenting with flu-like symptoms, with PCR test results currently pending.

Based on the current situation:

• DCW has been classified as a Red Zone.
• LRW and MRW have been classified as Amber Zones.
• TBW remains a Green Zone with no active cases reported.

All activities will remain separated by wing until further notice. As a precaution, and in line with infection control measures, we kindly encourage all visitors to wear either a surgical mask or N95 mask whilst in the facility and complete a Rapid Antigen Test. All staff must wear an N95 mask and complete a RAT test upon arrival.

These measures are essential in helping to reduce the risk of transmission, particularly given the presence of multiple respiratory viruses in the wider community.

We also remind everyone to:

• Make use of the hand hygiene stations placed throughout the facility.
• Maintain social distancing where possible.
