18th October 2021

Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

We have been so pleased to still see visitors and loved ones return through our doors as restrictions continue to ease today, Monday the 18th of October. We hope you have enjoyed the quality time again that we have all missed dearly with friends and loved ones.

As the state has now hit over 80% double dose vaccination rates on the weekend, residents can leave the facility for any reason now and isolation will no longer be required from residents upon return. In saying this, a risk assessment will still be conducted upon leaving the facility. Activities will now recommence at Buckland with social distancing in place. Each activity will be held at a maximum of 20 residents and Infection control procedures will occur before and after the activities.

Furthermore, please also ensure to use your camera app on your mobile phone and not the NSW service app when scanning the QR code upon entry. The temperature check machine at the main entrance is also an essential part of the health screening process when entering a Residential Aged Care Facility.

Lastly, as the Covid-19 restrictions ease in NSW we can look forward to much more freedoms and return back to the activities we all enjoyed most.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact myself on (02) 4752 2500.

Please stay safe and well.

Warm Regards,

Virginia Mitchell
