Dear Residents, Relatives and Staff,

We are happy to announce that the current Influenza A Exposure is now closed with only 1 resident being affected by the virus and has recovered well.

All activities, exercise groups and meal service will continue as normal throughout the facility. However, we continue to encourage all residents and visitors to observe social distancing where possible, as well as hand hygiene. We also encourage our residents to use the outdoor areas if weather permits.

Although we have closed the exposure, we wish to remind everyone to remain vigilant of any resident/staff member/visitors feeling unwell or displaying flu symptoms and report to the RN immediately. Staff and visitors that are symptomatic are advised to not enter the facility and attend to PCR testing for all respiratory pathogens.

Due to high community transmission of Acute Respiratory Illnesses (ARIs) as per the NSW ARI Surveillance Program, we will still all staff and visitors to wear a surgical mask whilst in the facility until further notice.

We wish to pass on our most sincere gratitude to everyone for all the hard work you do in keeping our residents safe and well.

Warm Regards

Buckland Clinical Management team
