Refurbishment Update
Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,
RE: Refurbishment progress as of 17/06/2024
Firstly, I would like to thank everybody for their cooperation and understanding during this period. There has been a large amount of planning and liaising with both residents and staff to ensure care needs are met with minimal disruption.
Tuesday 18th June the carpenter will be working in the Thomas Buckland Wing to install the skirting, this will result in noise throughout the day. If you feel that the noise is too loud, please do not hesitate to make use of the ear plugs located at reception. We have asked that this work not be done during meal times.
The vinyl floor will be laid out in front of the Donald Coburn Lift. The floor in the Liz Roberts Wing including the flooring on the ramp will be prepped for laying on Wednesday.
Wednesday 19th June Vinyl will be laid in C Section, traffic through this area will be restricted for the day. This will affect the residents of Donald Coburn and Liz Roberts Wings who normally would come upstairs to the nursing home section. We request that residents please do not enter this space on Wednesday. Residents in the C-Section are being asked to please remain in their room until the flooring is completely laid out, we are anticipating that this may be around midday.
Painting will continue in the Matron Rothery Wing. Carpentry will continue in the main lounge with removal of the doors and panels to the DT Office. The Main Lounge will be unusable on Wednesday 19th June 2024.
If you have any questions in relation to the refurbishment, please do not hesitate to contact myself or the facility on (02) 4752 2500.
Warm Regards,
Melinda Junge
