Dear Relatives and Friends of Buckland,

We regret to inform you that we have recently had a resident return a Positive COVID-19 result. The resident has been placed into isolation and is doing well.

Given this case and taking into consideration the current spread of other respiratory virus’s that are circulating in our community in recent weeks we have made the decision that strict hygiene measures will need to come into force again to prevent the spread of all virus’s.

Until further notice, all visitors must wear a surgical mask at all times whilst in the nursing home. You will not be required to complete a Rapid Antigen Test but we do ask that you please complete your temperature check when entering the facility.

All staff will now be required to wear N95 masks whilst in the nursing home and complete a Rapid Antigen Test on arrival to each shift.

If you are feeling unwell or have cold and flu symptoms, please stay home to protect our residents and staff. Continue to regularly wash your hands, especially after meals and remember to social distance where possible, make use of outdoor areas if it’s a lovely day.

We will continue to provide updates as they occur. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation at this time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on (02) 4752 2500.

Warm Regards,

Melinda Junge

Facility Manager
